Advisory Council

The CAYCI Advisory Council actively provides policy and program guidance, philanthropic leadership and direction, and general promotion in support of initiatives. The express purpose of this group is to guide and sustain activities in support of CAYCI's mission: “to improve the conditions in which youth learn and play so that all youth have the chance at a healthy, happy life.”


The CAYCI Advisory Council is comprised of committed University and community leaders. Below is a list of current LiFEsports Advisory members.

Dr. Aidyn Iachini: Associate Professor in the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina with expertise in school mental health, motivational interviewing, and child/adolescent social work and sport.

Dr. Annahita (Anna) Ball: Associate Professor at SUNY-Buffalo and expert in school mental health.

Dr. Danielle R. Harrell: Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington, conducting research at the intersection of social work and education.

Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Mellin: Associate Professor at Binghamton University where she leads their university-assisted community schools agenda with local rural school districts. Also is a national expert in interprofessional collaboration.

John Provenzano: Social worker with the Department of Veterans Affairs and a clinical instructor for The Ohio State University College of Social Work (teaching clinical courses such as DSM and Community Youth Development).

Luke O’Quinn: Executive Director of the Los Angeles Football Club Youth Leadership Academy and training facilitator for the Ross Initiative on Sport Equity.

Noelle Britt: Neighborhood Program Specialist for the City of Columbus leading community development efforts in target neighborhoods.

Dr. Paul Flaspohler: Associate Professor of Psychology at Miami University where he serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation. He brings expertise in school mental health and implementation sciences.

Phil Madden: Clinical social worker practicing in child/adolescent mental health in Ohio and California and brings expertise in positive youth development and clinical practice.

Tammer Attallah: Executive Clinical Director for Intermountain Healthcare’s Behavioral Health Clinical Program.
