Youth to Youth International (Y2Y) is a community-based drug prevention and youth leadership program focused on reducing drug and alcohol use by middle school and high school students. This youth-led, adult-guided program is built upon evidence-based prevention principles and has been replicated across the country, as well as internationally. In 2012, CAYCI and Y2Y partnered together on a SAMHSA Service-to-Science award. This award allowed Y2Y and CAYCI to develop evaluation tools and methods to examine the outcomes of the Y2Y Summer Conferences and the Youth Advisory Board. Findings from the first year of the partnership are fully described in the Evaluation Snapshot. While the Initial award has concluded, Y2Y and CAYCI have continued their partnership.
