The Community and Youth Collaborative Institute (CAYCI) seeks to improve the conditions in which youth learn and play so that all youth have the chance at a healthy, happy life. We work towards this vision by engaging in primary research & resource development; program administration; and consultation & evaluation. We couldn’t do this work without our great faculty and staff, our community partners, our university affiliates, and our students, past and present.
In all we do, we work to impact many of the key settings in which youth development occurs, including families, schools, youth sport & other out-of-school time programs, and communities. CAYCI is located within the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, one of three universities in the state of Ohio with a school social work training program licensed by the Ohio Department of Education. As part of the College of Social Work, we also help to foster the growth of students and professionals interested in youth development, school social work, and research.
